This course will introduce the knowledge and skills required to conduct and analyse research interviews in qualitative research.

Learning Objectives

  • A critical understanding of the principles of conducting qualitative interviewing;
  • A critical understanding of the principles of analysing qualitative interview data;
  • Develop skills in conducting and analysing research interviews in healthcare;
  • A critical understanding of the principles of recruiting participants for qualitative interviewing; 
  • Appreciate the ethical issues involved in conducting research interviews;
  • Demonstrate an awareness of the different formats for interviewing.
